The Gathering Visit

We were delighted recently to welcome musicians from The Gathering to our school. They played some traditional Irish music for us and we really enjoyed listening to the talent on show. One of the musicians who visited was Ciara O Shea who is a past pupil of our school. If we practice maybe one day we will get to travel around to the schools playing music for all the boys and girls.

We have many fine musicians and dancers in school and the gathering musicians seemed very impressed as we played some music for them and performed a selection of sets, reels and jigs.

Both Kate and Mr McKenna sang songs for the musicians and they accompanied them on the guitar and banjo.

We are lucky to have such talented musicians and dancers in our school and were delighted with the visit. We are looking forward to next years visit already!!
